MUMBAI: Ajay Devgn's crime thriller Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has grossed ₹303 crore worldwide in its first four days, Business Today and Outlook reported on October 6, citing figures from the trade website Sacnilk. Outlook called it Devgn's biggest opening.

The film, which opened on Friday, October 2, has collected ₹197.50 crore net in India, or ₹237 crore gross, and ₹66 crore gross overseas.

The film opened with ₹62 crore net on Friday, dipped to ₹53.50 crore on Saturday and rose again to ₹61 crore on Sunday, giving it an opening weekend of ₹176.50 crore net, or ₹211.80 crore gross, according to Business Today.

Monday brought the expected weekday fall. Collections dropped 65.6 per cent from Sunday to ₹21 crore net. Overseas, the film added ₹5 crore on Monday.

Sacnilk put Monday's overall occupancy for the Hindi 2D version at 24.71 per cent across 16,274 shows, rising from 12.92 per cent in morning shows to 38.38 per cent at night. It estimated that 9.69 lakh people watched the film on Monday and about 78.8 lakh over the four days.

Advance bookings for October 6 had sold 3.36 lakh tickets worth ₹9.21 crore across 16,486 shows by the time Business Today reported, with Maharashtra, at ₹2.46 crore, and Delhi, at ₹1.77 crore, the strongest markets, followed by Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

The film crossed ₹100 crore net in two days, ETV Bharat reported, and opened bigger than the earlier Hindi instalments. Drishyam 2, released on November 18, 2022, opened with ₹15.38 crore on its first day and ₹64.14 crore over its first weekend, and went on to gross ₹345.05 crore worldwide, with ₹240.54 crore net in India, on a budget of ₹50 crore. The new film's opening day alone, ₹62 crore, was four times Drishyam 2's, and in four days it has come within about ₹42 crore of that film's entire worldwide gross.

Business Today placed the film among the fastest Indian films to cross ₹300 crore worldwide, alongside Pushpa 2, RRR, Pathaan, Kalki 2898 AD and Jawan, each of which took between one and four days. Outlook reported that it is now one of the highest-grossing films of 2026, after Mirzapur, Hanuman Ansh, Border 2 and Dhurandhar: The Revenge, and that it opened to mostly positive reviews.

Drishyam 3: The Conclusion is co-written, produced and directed by Abhishek Pathak and is the sequel to the 2022 film Drishyam 2. Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar in what is being presented as the final chapter of the Hindi franchise, ETV Bharat reported. Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Rajat Kapoor return, with Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj among the new additions. The film is written by Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh.

The Drishyam story also runs as a separate Malayalam series. The third Malayalam film, also titled Drishyam 3, was written and directed by Jeethu Joseph with Mohanlal returning as Georgekutty, and was released on May 21, 2026, after being postponed from April. It grossed about ₹237.70 crore worldwide by the end of its run, becoming the highest-grossing film in that franchise.

The Hindi film's first weekday drop leaves its second weekend as the next test. Its competition grows on October 15, when Rajinikanth's Tamil action sequel Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, opens worldwide in the Dussehra holiday window, Gulf News reported. That film brings back much of the team behind the 2023 hit Jailer, including composer Anirudh Ravichander, with SJ Suryah, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu and Vidya Balan in the cast.
