Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar Dies in Plane Crash

In a tragic aviation disaster early Wednesday, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Anantrao Pawar has been confirmed dead after the chartered aircraft he was traveling in crashed while attempting to land at Baramati airport this morning. The mid-size Learjet 45 aircraft, operated by a charter company, was en route from Mumbai to Baramati ahead of election campaigning when it crash-landed and burst into flames. All on board, including Pawar, two pilots, his personal security officer and an attendant, were killed in the accident. Emergency responders rushed to the scene but were unable to save any of the passengers due to the severity of the crash and the resulting fire.

What Happened

The charter jet crashed during its approach to Baramati airport, approximately 8:45 AM local time, according to officials. No survivors were found at the scene. Preliminary reports suggest technical difficulties during landing, but the exact cause remains under investigation…

Startup Founders' Fixed Pay Rises 8.2% to ₹43.4 Crore; Bonuses and ESOPs Dwarf Salaries

BENGALURU: Sixteen founders of ten listed new-age companies earned a combined ₹43.4 crore in fixed remuneration in 2025-26, up 8.2 per cent from ₹40.2 crore a year earlier, according to Inc42's founder salaries tracker, published on October 6. Average fixed pay per founder rose to ₹2.7 crore from ₹2.5 crore.

Twelve of the 16 founders got a raise, three took a cut and one was paid the same. The ten companies tracked are Lenskart, Meesho, Delhivery, Paytm, Honasa Consumer, Ather Energy, FirstCry, Swiggy, Nykaa and Shadowfax, all of which are listed on the stock exchanges.
