MUMBAI: Arijit Singh will tour nine Indian cities between January and May 2027, Rolling Stone India reported on October 5. The tour, presented by Kotak Solitaire and promoted by Team Innovation, marks 20 years since the singer began his career.

"20 years of music is a journey I feel very grateful for. The greatest part of it has always been the people – the listeners who have given these songs a life of their own," Singh said in a statement, according to PTI. "I'm really looking forward to travelling across India and experiencing that love together, live on stage. There are so many songs, so many memories and so many people to meet. I can't wait."

PTI described it as a nine-city, stadium-scale tour and his biggest in India so far. A custom multi-tiered stage with an extended runway will take Singh into the audience, and the shows will use 360-degree spatial audio, kinetic LED fixtures, panoramic screens, laser arrays and stadium-scale pyrotechnics, according to the organisers.

The dates

The tour opens in Ahmedabad on January 9 and moves to Chandigarh on January 23, Jaipur on February 7 and Mumbai on February 20. It continues in Bengaluru on March 13, New Delhi on March 27 and Pune on April 10, before ending in Indore on May 1 and Hyderabad on May 15.

The venues have not yet been announced, nor have ticket prices.

How to get tickets

Tickets will be sold on the platform thumpN. Holders of Kotak Solitaire Visa cards get a presale on October 10 and 11, and holders of Kotak Visa cards a presale from October 11 to 13, each between noon and 2 pm. General sales open at 2 pm on October 13.

"We take immense pride in presenting a nationwide tour of this magnitude," the promoter said. "It is a genuine tribute to an extraordinary musical legacy, and we are thrilled to create an unprecedented live event," said Mohit Bijlani, founder of Team Innovation, adding that every detail was being designed "to world-class standards".

Twenty years

The anniversary goes back to 2005, when Singh, born in Jiaganj in West Bengal's Murshidabad district, appeared as a contestant on the television singing competition Fame Gurukul. His first Hindi film song was "Phir Mohabbat" from Murder 2 in 2011, and his breakthrough came two years later with "Tum Hi Ho" from Aashiqui 2, which won him the Filmfare award for best male playback singer.

He has since won two National Film Awards, for Padmaavat in 2019 and for Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva in 2024, and eight Filmfare awards for best male playback singer, the most recent in 2025 for Laapataa Ladies, equalling Kishore Kumar's record. He received the Padma Shri, one of India's highest civilian honours, in 2025, and has been the most-streamed artist on Spotify in India for seven consecutive years, from 2019 to 2025.

After playback

The tour is his first major nationwide tour since January 2026, when he surprised fans by announcing that he would no longer take new assignments as a playback singer for films, Gulf News reported. It was not a retirement from music: he said he would keep making music, and songs already recorded would continue to be released. His most recent film song is "Jai Jai Ram" from Ramayana, PTI reported.

The setlist has not been announced, but his best-known songs include "Tum Hi Ho", "Agar Tum Saath Ho", "Channa Mereya", "Kesariya", "Apna Bana Le" and "Chaleya".

What is not yet known

The presale windows are short, two hours each day, and the organisers have not said how many tickets will be available in each city, which venues will be used, or what tickets will cost. The tour runs for five months, from January 9 in Ahmedabad to May 15 in Hyderabad, with about two weeks between most shows.
